Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a diverse client portfolio.
  • Manage and complete monthly accounting and tax engagements efficiently, ensuring timely client service.
  • Keep the project pipeline organized and up-to-date in our practice management software.
  • Consistently follow up with clients on tax matters to ensure continuous support.
  • Accurately document client interactions and maintain precise records.
  • Educate clients on tax strategies, ensuring they understand their options.
  • Mentor and support staff on client engagements and tax issues.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and effective service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in small business accounting with a focus on tax.
  • Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks Online, UltraTax software [Thomson Reuters] and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A proactive and team-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Compensation & Benefits

Location: Remote, U.S. (Relocation to Dearborn, MI, preferred but not required)

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year [depends on experience]
